Silence, it should be tranquil, correct? It should be considered safe and comforting, even peaceful. To some this is true. To others, it is endless, almost suffocating them in isolation. Perhaps however, the most horrid silence is the one that seems innocent, but there is tell tale signs of something wicked lingering.
The silence of that morning was like that, the foreboding hanging thickly in the air.
It was amongst a quiet clearing that Medusa sat silently, waiting patiently for her the other members of her team to assemble, so their plans could be executed. It had taken time, but the results would be rewarding, that she was sure of. Teaching an insolent child a lesson they would never forget, ah, what memories it brought back. It almost made her feel homesick...almost.
Such considerations alerted the witch to something that made her tap her chin in thought. For her to face off against Lina, she would need to reveal her powers, something she was always weary of. She would have to take down Soul Protect for the final fight in order to use her magic. This was the first time she had needed to call on them since her arrival in this little game; oh, but it would be worth it, if only to wipe the smile of that brat's face. As for her comrades, well, she wouldn't have gone this far if there wasn't some trust. Letting little things slip made them comfortable, thinking they knew the full extent of her powers, but that wasn't so. Only time would tell who she would deem worthy enough to see her full potential.
For a silly girl like Lina, Medusa doubted she would be needing any of her better skills to get the job done.
