Kain had rushed deeper into the maze, and would not have known that Blythe had been found if she hadn't shouted. He paused, whipping around and catching sight of the light that Alessa was producing. He couldn't be certain, but Kain thought that perhaps he had passed through that part of the maze already. How could he have missed her? With a short, frustrated sigh, he made his way to the small group that had gathered around Blythe easily due to the light. He glanced around at the two women, before catching sight of Blythe's huddled form on the ground.
He didn't get any closer to her, not wanting to crowd her. Instead, he knelt down to be closer to her level, his face stoic and his voice level. "Blythe, you need to come inside with us. You're going to freeze to death out here."
He glanced up at the others once more, as though silently asking for help.
