Re: The Garden Maze, 10:00 P.M.
The fact that Ryuzaki quickly dressed her in more apparel was infuriating to the already irate and imbalanced oracle. She didn't want them; they were encumbering and they would hold her back from doing what she was meant to do. She shrugged off the jacket and scarf quickly, bundled them up, and threw them at Ryuzaki. Then she raised her hands slowly, to indicate that she was about to cast her spell. He was her sacrifice.
...And then, quite suddenly, that urge stopped. Blythe's hands dropped. Realization dawned on her.
It was too late.
The sacrifice took two hours to prepare. If it was past ten o'clock, she would not be able to finish before midnight. And because of this, the spell that held her was broken. She didn't want to sheer him open, she didn't want to burn his organs or turn his shell into a cradle. But that didn't stop the pounding of blood from leaving her ears. Her instincts no longer wanted him dead, but it was yet to be midnight. Her body was now running on the adrenaline of the kill. It still wanted death.
Mind intact, fear and shame blazing in her features, Blythe turned and ran straight into the garden maze, trying to distance herself not only from Ryuzaki, but from Kain, Alessa, and Morana, who incidentally were not far behind her.
