Kain paused, turning back to look at the two women as they addressed him, too tired of everything at this point to muster up the energy to be irritated at them. He understood well enough that they meant well, but he had just had to knock out his crazed girlfriend after she attempted to murder someone, and he wanted out of the situation as quickly as possible. Instead, he took a deep breath and focused on Alessa, first.
"I honestly don't know whether or not she'll be out for the rest of the night. I...didn't strike her very hard." He paused, shaking his head. "It would probably be best if you came assisted me with the remainder of the watch, just in case."
Kain then turned his attention to Morana. "No. Not that I know of, anyway. This should be over in the morning. For now you should go back to your room."
There was another pause, as Kain realized that nobody would be able to just drop off to sleep after having nearly been killed. So he shrugged, turning and continuing down the hall. "Or just do whatever you want. It's none of my business." He added, without turning around.
