It was just as the clock on a nearby wall chimed eight that Morana lifted her gaze from the text on the book page in front of her. Was that really the time? It seemed like the last couple of hours had been lost to her, so engrossed in what she was doing that she hadn't even considered how late it was getting.
Feeling rather restless earlier that day, Morana had chosen to shut herself in the library and practise her reading and writing. After all, she had been given some interesting books for Christmas by some of the other Asgardians, and the better she could read, the more she would enjoy them. Besides, the last thing the girl wanted was to bother anyone too much whenever she got stuck on some words, and since the books she received were varied, she knew she might struggle in understanding them. She was still having problems with her reading, and would have to consult Eileen at some point about what was confusing her, but that would have to wait due to the time.
Standing up from her seat, she gathered her things from the table and exited the room. Once the door to the library was shut, she made sure she wouldn't drop the books in arms, and quietly began to walk down the corridor, thinking on going to her own room and turning in for the night.
