Kain did have a split second of doubt as Alessa tossed him the rope and told him that she would hold Blythe down. But he quickly remembered that she had powers that would likely make her a better candidate for holding down the enraged Blythe than he would. So he gave a quick nod in return, binding Blythe's hands behind the back of the chair before using what rope remained to bind her to the chair. The knots were just tight enough to restrict her movement, but not so much as to be painful.
When he was done he straightened up with a sigh, shooting Alessa a look of weary gratitude. He didn't know what he would have done if she hadn't been here. Gotten his organs harvested, probably. He took a few steps back, his legs bumping into the trunk at the end of his bed. Without turning, he sat down on it, resting his elbow on his knee and propping his head in his hand.
Now they would have to stay here throughout the night, keeping watch over her. Kain couldn't help but feel like time was going to drag on forever.
