Henry said very little that Sal hadn't already gathered from Valtiel's boasting. In fact, Sal spoke more with Valtiel than he did with Walter. From what he'd seen of Walter in the journals, he could tell he was a mentally frail, incompetent child. If this man-child was all that Valtiel had to holding on to existence in this world, then hiding Walter from Sal was a sign of defense.
But that was all pure speculation.
Pressing the knife a little harder against Eileen's skin, Sal nodded to the girl. "Feel free to add anything yourself, princess. I haven't sliced out your vocal cords yet." That said, he readdressed Henry. "If you had a choice, noble Henry, tell me: would you spare Walter's life despite Valtiel or would you kill him if it meant taking down this god in the process?"
