He could not keep the angry growl out of his voice. This whole farce reminded him too much of how the emperor liked to rule, how Palpatine played the games from behind a dark curtain.
Vader never liked this. He very much preferred to fight alongside his soldiers, as it gave him the possibility to see what was going wrong at which time. This was also the reason why he never stopped flying into battles with his best pilots, even though his rank officially forbade such behaviour.
"If the waiting gets too boring one can still spar." Only a short moment later did the Sith lord realize that he spoke these last words aloud.
Another reason to hate Obi-Wan, he thought. The old man was obviously guilty of manipulating him to a state of lost control over his reactions.
That his old master had been dead for years now, was no comfort to Vader. He knew that certain individual were just annoying enough to not stay dead.
