Zefiris had to bit her lip to stop from smiling, feeling uncharacteristically at the mercy of human foibles. "It is a non-issue. This is something that can only be learned through practice."
In another place, the two of them could very well be mistaken for a pair of schoolgirls, falling over themselves to apologize for a perceived slight, and in a way, they were. Granted, neither of them had any formal schooling, Zefiris with no need and Morana with no opportunity, but the comparison held. She wondered if her Lords would recognize her here, so different a situation from the kind they would find in Dustvin.
The Dragoon perked up slightly at her friend's next words. "Thank you. I am glad to share with you what I know, and always appreciate what time I am able to spend speaking with you."
It was odd, finding someone that she would consider such a close friend over such a short time. In her own world, she had never found it easy to relate to others, even among her own kind. Lord Beckenham had been an exception, obviously, but he had saved her. Even traveling with the Casulls, she and Shannon had viewed each other as a means to an end, which made fusions such an issue. Pacifica had been to the only one to make any real offer of friendship, and Zefiris saw a lot of her in Morana.
Asgard may have been a house for well-meaning strays, but it was well on its way to becoming a home for them.
