The grabbing of her arm did the trick, and Blythe stopped in place, knowing that while Kain wouldn't do anything to hurt her, he was much stronger than she was. She visibly avoided making any sort of eye contact with his aura, trying very hard to make the point that, where she was concerned, this conversation was over. But again, these were more mixed signals, as she was really trying to bite her tongue from all the questions and curiosities rummaging around in her head.
Kain's reaction was half expected, half baffling. And what came out of his mouth next made her both want to question her accusations and leave the room permanently.
Blythe pulled her arm from his grip. She granted him a long, long moment of silence before she finally answered him, her curiosity finally getting the best of her. "Why only a comrade? She clearly...compliments you. You are a good man, Kain. And you deserve a good woman. Lina, albeit wreckless, is exactly that. You only seek me out because you haven't realized it yet."
