"I'm glad that we're in agreement." Kain replied, his voice holding a mock-solemn tone. He looked a bit like the cat who had swallowed the canary as he swung Blythe through the next turn with a little more flair than was needed.
This was going far better than he expected it to, and he could feel himself beginning to relax. He felt silly, thinking that things would be tense between them due to some rather confusing things that Blythe had been doing lately. After all, she did come from another world. Perhaps he had done something to offend her?
As they danced, Kain glanced around at all of his comrades. There were still a few missing from the party, but there was one person absent that made Kain worry a bit.
"You don't suppose Lina is off causing trouble, do you?" Kain asked Blythe casually, almost completely oblivious to the jealousy that Blythe felt toward the sorceress. He knew the two didn't get along, but he only had his sneaking suspicions as to why.
And the dragoon really did feel there was cause for worry, since every time that Lina seemed to mysteriously disappear it was either to cause trouble or get into it.
