Kain breathed a sigh of relief as Blythe spoke up, breaking the moment of silence that the two had fallen into. He had feared that she would decline, but she didn't, and he accepted the hand she offered him. "As you wish." He replied cheerfully, returning her smile with one of his own.
Recalling how much she had enjoyed it last time they had danced together, Kain began to lead the healer into a waltz, finding this music much easier to dance to then...whatever had been playing at the last party.
Once the two had managed to match the rhythm of their dancing to the music, Kain spoke, attempting to strike up a conversation. "You know, I never really liked parties that much before coming here."
It was true. The only parties he had attended back in Baron had been held for political reasons. They weren't exactly what one would call entertaining.
