Up until the night of the party, Blythe had no idea what her costume would be. She had decided it would be best to rely on 'the magick of the closet' to provide a suitable costume. And it did, with surprises abundant. With Alice's help, the blind girl quickly discovered the dress she was going to wear was black, corsetted and body forming, sleeveless, and had...butterfly wings. Frowning, she slipped the gown on, unused to the feeling of the body-tight gown and the flowing train. Also, she was shocked to find her face feel...funny.
Alice explained that she now had makeup on her face in the shape of a black butterfly mask, Blythe's white eyes being the eye spots on the wings. The two healers then proceeded to help put Blythe's hair up into a stylish bun. When finished, Blythe helped Alice with her costume before slipping outside of the room, sure she would see her roommate later at the party.
With her walking stick in hand, Blythe made her way cautiously to the ballroom on the same level, counting steps as she went. Instead of going in and greeting people, Blythe slipped off to the corner, observing the few auras that had entered the room. It was the same way at the last dance - she didn't know how to really walk up to people and greet them as friends. So she held back and observed, almost as a doctor would.
