When Mitchell staggered into a standing position, Sal remained on the ground, crouched and fierce, for a long, thoughtful moment. Banru and Morana were gone, and with them, the facade. With Mitch here, even though this was an unexpected twist of fate, Sal was much more in his element. And his instincts heightened.
"Fight you?" Sal scoffed, getting to his knees and spreading his arms, gun slack. "Even down here I'm still more than you." And then, daringly slow - cautious, really, as his eyes detected something in the boy's eyes - he rose to his feet. "Fine, hotspot, then let's fight."
