Banru was making quick work of herding Morana back to Asgard. Sal could tell by the way she reacted that she both had the courage to try to stay for Mitch and the stupidity to not take help when it was given to her. People like her were always the easiest to kill because they didn't have a lick of common sense to run when they were told. At least Mitch saw it that way too or else he wouldn't have commanded it of her.
"That's what friends are for, isn't it, chum." Sal lightened his grip on the gun, but his eyes never left the firestarter's face. He had to now remind himself that Banru was still playing the enemy. "Two-against-one, I could have handled easily. But how can I pay those two any attention when you come plowing in, you little show stealer?"
With that, Sal flipped the gun in his hand and slammed the butt of it into Mitch's gut. Sal took the moment of Mitch's reaction to glare at Banru: get the girl out of here.
