Banru allowed his expression to shift to worry, his eyes darting nervously between Sal and his victim. He hadn't lived this long without learning how to put up a convincing act, and instead of winking back at Sal he tilted his head slightly, a motion that could have easily been interpreted as uneasy fidgeting.
"You should have listened to me, Sal." The immortal replied, his tone smoldering with cold fury. "Which do you think is faster, one of my spells or your trigger finger?"
Banru would bluff, for now--there was no need to jump into a fight right away. It would likely help to impress upon the girl that he was there to help her, and Asgard as a whole.
