Morana didn't quite catch Banru's eye as he stole a glance, but she was all too aware of the presence, meanwhile trying not to let any noise escape her mouth. She could feel the splintered wood imbedding into her face, the blood now mixing with the tears and both ran freely down her cheek.
She really didn't know what to do, unable to move, unable to act or say anything for fear and panic. Tensing, she did her best to put the pain the back of her mind, trying to focus on what was going on behind her. At the moment though, all she could hear where her own unsteady breaths, and her own blood smeared on the tree bark.
All she could hope now was that Banru could match Sal without getting hurt.
