Grinning wider, Sal stepped over to Morana again and snared her by the hair, gripping tightly enough to yank at her scalp. He didn't throw any punches yet, but rather brought her face up to his, almost nestling his nose against her temple.
"I know it hurts. But it won't for long. Everything gets numb very soon, and it's almost like I'm not doing anything at all." Sal resisted the urge to nuzzle a little closer. This was not a time to play games. He was working for someone else. "You're allowed to scream, though, you know. I don't like the quiet ones. It only makes me try harder."
