Letting out a hoarse and terrifed hiccup, the tribal girl dug her nails into the ground, eyes fearful and startled, like a deer caught in headlights. Worse still, she could feel an all too familiar sensation bubbling at the back of her throat. Yes, that suffocating feeling that almost her choke, stole all air from her lungs, a result of the terror inside her wanting to escape; her powers flaring up.
I can't! I won't! Morana colded herself, the struggles within her almost making her miss the coarse words of the person before him. Even if he was threatening her, she was in way controlled enough to use her powers against him. Also, a part of her still didn't wish to inflict pain, remembering what happened the last time in Asgard. There were no protective wards out here though to hold things together. If she screamed, it would cause real damage, and that was something she couldn't risk.
Her legs still numb, Morana leaned backwards in an attempt to scramble to her feet, meanwhile trying to keep control of the bile rising in her throat, that threatened to spill into poisonous and dangerous sonic waves.
