It was true; Blythe had not been aware of the cameras in Emptiness. It seemed like a perfectly viable explanation for his odd behavior. Of course, the observant woman had immediately though of Sal... doing some quick thinking, L realized that it wouldn't take much for Blythe to, through process of elimination, figure out that Light was the reason for his suffering.
He sighed. "No... no, Sal has not been hurting me... I'm not hurt..." But you were... and that's why I'm doing this... every time he saw her, the scar on Blythe's cheek immediately drew his eye, and killing Light and Sal immediately shoved their way into his thoughts and made it difficult for him to focus on anything else. "It's just that... I want to do something to help Asgard. So far, I feel like I've been dead weight... even a liability..." L knew perfectly well that he'd done his share and pulled more than his own weight, but it also sounded viable... "The thing is, I... miss you."
