Gather Round My Mischief Who: Sal, Banru, and Emerald When: Three days after end of trial Where: Sal's private location in Emptiness Rating: PG-13 Warnings: Language Summary: Curious as to what teamwork could be like, Sal invites Banru and Emerald to her 'secret lair' for some diabolical plotting - against both teams.
Rascal Phoenix had a really big ego for such a puny mortal. It was probably an act of compensation, that the littlest dog had the greatest swagger. She was already an underling in terms of power and promise, and she wasn't going to let anyone believe she could be so easily crushed. So it was a pleasant surprise for her when Banru returned, pouting and pondering. He posed a good question - what was Niflheim up to? For such a splendid array of demons and darklings, Sal wondered if Asgard was freaking out over nothing. Sal knew Banru wasn't mortal. With this in perspective, Sal realized that this was a thrilling opportunity to team up with one of these greater forces.
As equals, of course.
Sal was also aware that her roommate was more active than she'd openly admitted. She was an assassin, and as such, was doing her job as quietly and discreetly as possible. But it drove Sal mad that Emerald still had made no move; hadn't even hinted towards and particular victim. It was then Sal decided her roommate needed a big push.
She got a good laugh out of that private communication to Banru. Of course, he did too. Everything she'd written were exaggerations of sorts, but it proved to Banru just how decent of an ally she could be. And now Banru and Emerald were on their way to her private hideaway in Emptiness. She'd worked on this place for some time now - she already had a security system working (keeping an extra eye on her cameras), and had almost turned it into a home. It wasn't any wonder why she chose to stay in Emptiness more than Niflheim. She missed New York City, missed the heights. Missed the silence slicing through the background noises of a never-sleeping city. If Banru and Emerald knew what was good for them, they'd respect her decision. And they'd get straight to business.
