Kain shifted his attention to Zefiris, and not for the first time found himself a bit taken aback. Dragons? Mythical? Not only that, but it wasn't easy for him to picture dragoons as mounted infantry, of all things. "It sounds as though our worlds are quite different. I don't think there was any country on mine that used mounts regularly, and dragons were very real." He and his allies had had to fight their way through dragons fairly regularly. It was hard to dismiss the existence of creatures as formidable as they were.
The moment he finished speaking, Dorian attacked, and Kain quickly switched gears. He had no time to really guess what Dorian was doing, and so he quickly dodged to Dorian's left, nearly tripping as Dorian's ankle swung out to try to catch him. Kain swung an arm out, hoping to catch the mummy across the shoulders and knock him over while he was still slightly off-balance. He was pleasantly surprised that Dorian had improved since the last time they had sparred, and he couldn't help but feel slightly proud.
