As they made their way over to the clearing, Morana occassionally glanced down at the joined hands. To think, not so long ago she would have been terrified for this sort of touch, thinking that such a gesture would cause the other person to drop dead in front of her. But now...she didn't need to fear, not really. And Dorian was so nice, she felt like there was nothing to worry about.
Everyone had been so good despite finding out what she was; maybe it wasn't a terrible risk, letting someone know about the last big secret she had.
Looking back at him as he spoke, she stopped in front of the tree, and smiled a little in a soft manner. "Th-Than-nk y-you. B-But I've h-ha-d a l-life of b-being al-lone, and en-nough t-time t-to th-think ab-bout this by m-mys-self. M-mayb-be...it's t-time I sh-shar-red."
Still holding onto the mummy's hand, the girl slowly bent down till she was kneeling in front of the tree, looking carefully at the markings she had recently made in the bark. First, there was a swirled sun carved into the wood, and below it, what looked like waves of the sea.
Using her free hand, she reached over to the stone she had dropped earlier, and stabbed it into the ground, moving it around in order to make a hole of decent size and depth, before looking up at Dorian again, a little worried of what he would think if she went further and had to explain what this was all about.
