A Grave Understanding Who: Morana and Dorian (Finished Thread) Where: The Forest outside Asgard When: Tuesday 12th August, early morning, day after the last Pirate Malfunction Day Rating: G Warnings: Some sadness. T_T Summary: Now that there is dry land again, Morana decides to finally come to terms with her problems. She will be laying her demons to rest, particularly her guilt over the life she took. However, things take an odd turn when Dorian follows her outside of Asgard to see what she's doing. Incidentally, as things are shared, new hope for redemption may be found.
As the sun was rising in the sky, allowing the day to start, Morana looked out from her window to see that the vast ocean that had been covering the realm was now dry land again. Not that the adventures on the pirate ship version of Asgard hadn't bee, fun, far from it! She had had lots of fun with her friends on that boat, playing pirates and enjoying her hours spent in the crows nest. Still, now that things were back to normal, it reminded her she had something she needed to do.
Quickly and quietly, she tiptoed over to her bed, and took the small number of items she needed for the task from under her pillow. The blue scarf Zefiris has given to her had allowed all the items she required to be kept safe, and in an easy to carry bundle. Though it was early, she didn't want to risk meeting any other members of the house, who may ask where she was going. It wasn't advisable to wander outside the safe walls of Asgard, but Morana felt like there was no choice. This was something she had to do. She would be back before anyone knew she was gone anyway.
Carefully slipping back across the room and making sure Alessa was still asleep, before opening the window, and slipping her body through it, closing it from the outside gently, so as not to make any unnecessary noise. She sat on the ledge for a moment, bundle under her arm, before latching the makeshift bag around her shoulder, allowing both hands to reach out and grip a nearby drain pipe. She managed to swing herself over, holding on tight and she slowly allowed her body to slip down, before landing with a soft thump on the ground.
Morana took in a quick breath, and looked up at the house once more, before turning around, and checking the coast was clear. Once she was sure, she broke into a sprint, dashing across the training grounds, throught the gardens, before breaking past the boundries of the land that was known as Asgard, and rushed towards the tall trees of the forest beyond. She would be quick. After all, no one had seen her leave this early, right?
