Yo Ho Ho....
Who: Henry and Open
Where: The deck of Asgard
When: Pirate Week Day 1
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Possible pirate cursing and mildly risque thoughts?
Summary: Henry decides to take his captain's advice and 'taste the salty wind', heading to the deck to get a look at all the changes.
Henry had seen and experienced a great many strange things in the last year of his life, but this had to be among the strangest. He was used to the entire world changing around him, but not like this.
But slowly he'd gotten used to it, the longer he was awake. And really, it was kind of neat. And a welcome relief. After everything that had been happening...well, people could use a break.
And besides, what little boy had never wanted to grow up and be a pirate, at least once? He supposed he could do without the leather pants or a shirt that didn't button, but it wasn't worth complaining about.
So with his spyglass hooked to his belt and Shutterbug (he had finally named the pair of rabbits that lived in his room) at his heels, he made his way out of the galley and up onto the deck to get a good look at the changed realm.
And it was impressive, he had to admit. Just like something out of the movies - or a romance novels, like the women had mentioned. Which made his mind drift to Eileen, and wondering if his mental images were more or less risque than the reality. He honestly wasn't sure if he wanted to find out - not with his current mindset that he seemed to have only tenuous control over.
He didn't think throwing his 'wench' over his shoulder and retiring to his cabin would go over all that well. The fresh ocean air would help with that, too.
Stretching, Henry took in the ocean, and the island a bit in the distance. He glanced down at Shutterbug, watching as the long haired rabbit sniffed at a barrel.
"Step handsomely, me bunny bucko. Mind the scuppers!" Was he really talking to a rabbit? Granted, said rabbit currently had an eyepatch and seemed relatively interested in the deck...
But still. He supposed it was just the day, and his mindset of 'ship's first mate' that was causing him to spout nautical slang at a small fuzzy animal.
Eying the mast, Henry contemplated climbing to the crow's nest for a better view....
