"Very well then." Blythe cleared her throat, almost flustered that everyone's attention was on her, but not quite. She had more self-confidence in her journal, she found.
"This spell is rather simple." She said, flipping open the book to its marked page and immediately skimming it with her fingers. "As I explained thoroughly to Alessa, it is a defensive spell composed of my aura. It is an extension that feeds off my core lifeforce for the very purpose of warding off other lifeforces - that is to say, weapons and such are still penetrable. To you, it would appear as great orbs of light radiating from my hands. To me, it would appear as..." she paused in her reading "...well, I haven't the slightest idea yet. Were I to overexert myself - in other words, channel too much of my aura into the spell - I could effectively kill myself and those who come too close. However, as I am not full-blooded demon, the chances of this occurring are slim to none."
Closing the book, she gazed apprehensively at the orange, yellow, and violet auras. "Did that help?"
