"It's okay." Henry shrugged. "It never really...bothered me, I don't think. I mean, I was bothered by it then, but I'm not really now. I mean... I'm really glad I have friends now, but I've been okay with my own company."
He hoped he didn't sound...cold or anything. He just was okay by himself. He liked people, sure, but.... He didn't always have to have them around.
"I think it's...sometimes really hard to be smart and interested in worldly things as a teenager. Because, well, like you just said. Most teenagers don't care about much else. And that's...not bad. It's just a little hard for the rest of us sometimes."
