Sal knew Carrion wouldn't refer to her as such. As if she'd be anything like a chesspiece for him to use. She'd just shoot him in the tank if it ever came that. Still, his answer had left her unsatisfied. She discovered she'd need to keep more of an eye on Light than she'd intended. That boy got in so much trouble.
Sal's irritation was distraced, however, when Carrion's dramatics actually began to prove themselves. The creature was quickly coming into being, leathery wings stretching wide and towering above the rest of the body. Anything else Carrion said at this point was just noise, as all her attention was on this stitchling he was creating.
