This time with a snap of his fingers, Glitch's wrists and legs were tied up by the leather restraints. As Carrion walked closer, the nightmare eels in his tank started glowing and swimming in restless circles around his head. He gave a grotesque version of a smile when one of the eels pressed close against his face, amused by their impatience.
But he did not bring Glitch up to the Tower as prey for his nightmares, so they would have to wait and be satisfied with the perfume of terror in the air.
"I just want to look, to see how they did it," he said. "How they stole your brain." He moved behind Glitch and looked down at the zipper. "Such a strange device... appropriate, I suppose."
