"Well, that's pretty normal, I guess, for a kid. But I always liked... all of it, even some modern art that other people made fun of. Not all of it, but some, because sometimes you can puzzle out what it means, or it really does have a big visual impact."
She hoped he wasn't going to make fun of her for that, like some of her friends had.
"Working in an office has it's down side... and maybe you're right, and I should look for a museum job again. But I guess that brings us back to your first point. Our life is here, at least now. I kind of wonder if most Earth jobs will be boring in comparison. But I can't picture you in an office, either. You belong... well, anywhere, but with a camera."
Eileen looked into his eyes when she said it. She could do that now, right?
