"Yeah. It was this.... a Winchester, I think." Henry was clearly lost in thought, his mind going back to that first camera. "It was this big box, and it was hard for me to hold at first. And we set up a little dark room, in the basement. There's something... I don't know. Something about developing film yourself, watching the picture come into focus...."
He didn't want to say there was something almost spiritual about it, but in a way there was. Pictures were capturing moments in time, keeping them alive for centuries when the existed so briefly in life....
"It's why I never bothered going digital," he explained. "It just isn't the same. There isn't that...magic, to it."
