When L finished his explanation, Quigby could feel his eye twitch in overload. That was so much planning, so much detail, so many ideas left to chance. Dorian wasn't afraid of L - rather, he was afraid for L. These were words he had not expected, and it took him quite a bit of time before he in Quigby could respond properly.
