Eileen nodded. "I know exactly what you mean. People ... some people can be shallow, or at least they act shallow... and they want everyone else to think like they do. It's ... not like that here. And you've never been like that."
She felt lucky to have met him... as little as she liked thinking about the horrific events they lived though, she was glad she had met someone who didn't mind being different. If they were friends, that was enough and if someday they... well, maybe she'd better not think about that, just because they were dancing together and he was saying such nice things to her.
