Blythe was never quite sure what the difference was between casual dress and formal wear, because she only ever wore the stiff corset gowns she'd grown up on. Even blind, she'd taught herself all the tricks of tying strings, tightening bindings, and adjusting appropriately. This gown was a tad more flamboyant than most, with its peach hues and flowery sleeves. Her bosom was pressed tight and her hair was pulled into a pixie braid. While uncomfortable, to her, it was completely commonwear.
It had concerned her that she had not run into Alice before the party and wondered if she was even going to attend at all. Maybe she would see her there. But, truly, she wasn't going to let it bother her too badly. Rather, she slid out of her room and counted her steps to the ballroom. Her fingers skimmed the walls, smacking into doorways and mirrors, and she counted 35, 36, 37... until the sound of foreign music invaded her ears.
Once in the ballroom, she was overcome by the random array of auras all around her. Many were recognizable, some were not. But she was sure by the end of the night, she would know everyone. In fact, she spotted Ryuzaki's aura first. Knowing he was here, it would only be polite to mingle.
"Ryuzaki," she addressed him as she came to stand beside him. "I am pleased to see you here. How have you been as of late?"
