A Cop and a Religious Exorcist...?
Who: Alice and Will
Where: Room 103 - Alice and Blythe's room
When: After Will and Alice's discussion through the communication system.
Rating: PG, subject to change.
Warnings: None at the moment.
Summary: Inwardly, Alice is both fretful of the other members of Asgard as well as increasingly disturbed by some of the public conversations between certain individuals. At the same time, Will Graham offered to tell her about what happened since her time period on the now 'modern Earth', and asked if he could visit. Of course, Alice agreed.
Alice had made sure the pretty, comfortable victorian room of medium blues was as clean as it could be for the visitor. Her platinum blonde hair was neatly in its bun, her clothing was neat, her stockings were pulled up modestly... She'd even propped the door open to make it seem like Mr. Graham was welcome. He was welcome, very much so! But she wasn't sure what would be off-putting and what wouldn't with these people. She was just trying her best to seem like someone others could rely on.
And yet...Alice finally sunk onto her bed and held her head in her gloved hands for a moment. Alice had travelled through cities filled with corpses, where organs were broken and on display across the street. She'd seen blood splatters where they shouldn't exist. She knew how monstrous some could be, and knew how kind one could be despite a monstrous appearance. Yuri, after all, had been able to transform into terrible, monstrous-looking forms...but she'd grown accustomed to that. Yuri's abilities helped them protect others.
What Alice had trouble stomaching was the absolutely crude imagery that Ryuzaki and Yagami had been...threatening each other with. Castration, torture, irreparable surgeries designed to make someone's body a prison... She shuddered. Was it simply a brave face? How could someone truly desire to do that...? Someone in Asgard wanted to do such a thing?
It made her feel sick.
Cleaning the room had made her feel better for a moment, but now she needed distraction again. She had strength, she knew it. She hadn't gone crazy from everything she'd seen yet, after all! But things that she didn't expect, when they were so dark...so cruel... She had difficulty with it.
She pulled herself up from the bed and turned the chair at her desk around to face the rest of the room. She sat there, her knees close to each other, her ankles crossed. She sat in a very proper manner, with her back straight and her gloved hands resting in her lap as she tried to push those dark thoughts from her mind. But that only caused her concern about everything else to flood in. What can I do for everyone...?
She shook her head and forced a small smile. Strength. Strength. She would be strong for the ones who needed it. She could falter behind the scenes, when no one was looking, if she had to. But Mr. Graham was coming and she wanted to show him - and everyone else - that she was someone to place trust in. Eventually she'd be able to help them. Eventually there would be a time. Her smile relaxed and became more natural as she thought about it.
