Tohru had resolved to take care of Akito’s body the best she could while she was existing in it. She was feeling well, but she knew he was frail, and got sick often because of the zodiac’s curse. Hatori wasn’t here to care for him if he started feeling ill, so it seemed like a good idea to take it easy today just in case.
Most of the day had turned out to be fairly uneventful, but when Tohru saw George’s message on the comm. system she started to worry about him. If he had become someone he didn’t like as a lot of others had today, then whatever it was had to be bad to provoke a reaction like that.
And by his words, although the situation was probably vastly different, she couldn’t help but be reminded of Kyo when she saw his true form. ‘Stay away from me!’, ‘Don’t come near me!’, ‘Don’t look at me!’ That is what he had said that night before he ran off.
She hadn’t spoken to George since he came here but… She could speak to him now. Maybe he just needed somebody to be there for him. It didn’t seem like he spoke to a lot of people.
Tohru came to his door, but did not go in. By the sound of it, that was the last thing the man wanted, and it would have been rude to do so anyway. Instead she remained by the door, hoping that just standing outside wouldn’t be a problem.
Besides, she was scared enough just being there. Hadn’t the man threatened to shoot people? The thought of getting shot… it horrified her! She was shaking a little as she stood there, almost too afraid to say anything.
“Mr. Marks?” She called, it was still strange to her hearing Akito’s voice with her own words. “I-it’s Tohru…”
