Watching her teammates discuss what to do about the bridge was not exactly what Zoe wanted to do, but there was precious little else. She couldn’t hear what they were saying so Zoe could only hope they were being productive. Thankfully, they reached a decision quickly. Zoe watched as Reno made his precarious way across the bridge. Immediately she reassessed her opinion on the challenge. It may not have been difficult, but there was no denying it was dangerous. When Zoe saw Reno suddenly plunge, she nearly bit her lip. It was less that she was anxious for her teammate then she was for the efforts of the team as a whole. There was no way to tell if the Asgardians had lost any of their teammates yet and Zoe did not want to be one down. Still, Reno managed to make it across. Good for him.
Without waiting for anyone else’s assent, Zoe stepped out onto the bridge. Despite Reno having tested each board, Zoe was still wary of the rickety bridge. She held her staff out with two hands in front of her so that if she fell, her staff could catch itself on the ropes supporting the bridge. At least, that was the idea. Zoe was not afraid of heights, but to not have at least some fear of being suspended above a ragingly hot lava stream was to be either drunk or crazy. Zoe was neither and her crossing was slow enough to make the fae feel as if she had been crossing dangerously swaying bridges all her life. Most of the boards were sturdy, but even so Zoe could feel them bend ever so slightly under their weight. She wondered how long they would hold. With that lovely thought in mind, Zoe picked up the pace until she finally felt her feet strike firm ground.
Taking a few paces away from the end of the bridge to clear it up for whoever was trying next Zoe murmured, “Good job.”
