Reno noticed the bridge about half a second before it was pointed out, and gave it a skeptical look. Walking up to the beginning of it, he grabbed the rope along the side of it and tugged on it to test its strength.
"Seems sturdy enough," he informed the rest of the group. "Not sure I trust these boards, though." Deciding there was only one way to test that, he put a foot on the first one and stepped to it with more care than it might have appeared to anyone watching. It succeeded in holding his weight, so he stepped to the next board, which also seemed to be fine. And then the next board, which cracked under his foot. He grabbed the rope to help stabilize himself as a chunk of the board fell down into the lava below.
