[Mitchell's Memory Theater] Anyone who happens by the third floor of Asgard will see these [I shall sum up]:
1) This memory took place on a wintry night in January when he was seventeen. After helping a boy run away, several gang members catch up to Mitch in an alley and start beating up on him heavily. When he's finally too hurt to move, the gang discuss in Spanish what to do with him. One of them leaves, comes back with a container of gasoline, and proceeds to pour it all over their victim. Just as Mitch comes to enough to try to get up, someone throws a lit match in his face. His entire body catches fire, and though he feels the heat, he strangely does not feel pain. As police sirens sound, the gang runs away and someone tackles Mitch to the ground with a jacket. His guardian/social worker smothers the fire and Mitch faints due to the heavy smell of the gasoline. The scene goes from sharpened images to blurred. (Later he finds out that he did not suffer any burns to his body).
2) Mitch has one fond memory of a girl named Elyse - she tutored him in English class. He stayed after school with her once and remembers her explaining Shakespeare's Hamlet to him. The words are sort of muffled in this memory as he was paying more attention to the sound of her voice than what she was saying.
3) He remembers a woman reading to him when he was six-years-old from The Polar Express. She tells him to ring the little bell that came with the book when she opened the page with Santa Claus riding up into the air with his sleigh. Mitch shakes the bell so fast that he accidentally throws it on the floor.
4) Some teacher from middle school absolutely humiliated Mitch in gym class. He remembers very loud, obnoxious laughter, then punching a kid in the face, and then being sent to the principal's office.
[Emerald's Memory Theater] 1) An intense battle between Emerald and a clan of vampires. Think lots of blood, sounds of bullets flying, screams, laughter (Emerald's), flashing daggers, and lots of gore.
2) Sex (sorry!) with a drop-dead gorgeous man named Skylar. He calls her "Mia." Out of all her partners, she had actually loved this one. This occurred when she was twenty.
3) A dark room with lots of candles and people - all assasins. Words in an obscure language are spoken as Emerald kneels on one knee and then accepts from a cloaked man a beautiful, jewel encrusted dagger. A ghostly image of a large serpent wraps around her arms and then disappears. This is a special ceremony of achieving a certain title in the guild.
4) A veeeeeery blurry and muffled scene of a dark-haired woman speaking to her in French/Cajun. This is supposed to be her mother.
[Carrion's Memory Theater] ZOMG - readers of the books will definitely get these. 1) His shaky hands open the seal of a letter. He reads the letter, in which the writer tells him that she cannot love him and will never love him. (Princess Boa, his first love)
2) He watches a single screen amongst several digital screens - a young woman with brown hair and mismatched eyes (one brown, one blue) stares angrily back. The image intrigues him. When the image turns off, he makes a noise like a sob.
3) Thousands of large, scarab-like bugs swarm inside a large stone pyramid. Carrion pushes a man into the fray and watches him become eaten alive.
4) His death scene - his final impassioned pleas to the same young woman, only this time, he seems to be wanting to talk to someone else, though there is only one person in the room with him. He demands that she look at him. She apologizes. She inches toward the window and he finds the strength to follow her. Before he can do anything, she smashes the window and a flood of water rushes inside.
Woot, people!
Also, I might as well add, the 8th through the 10th of August, I'll be away on vacation with my family. I don't think I'll have much time for internet (if I'm even that lucky to have access), so yeeeeeah. At least it's not during important Trial dates and stuff.
