Explanations on the Mod, the Secretary, and the NPCs
Explanation time!
I thought it was about time that I defined, or reminded, everyone what the NPCs are for. Metatron and Lucifer are the heads of Asgard and Niflheim, but they are not babysitters. Though they are there to ensure a few basic rules don't get broken, they're mostly there to guide, help, hinder or otherwise cause interesting plots with your characters. As for any other information on them, check the rules. <3 Even though Metatron will be weakend during the Brandy plot, it does not mean he is defeatable or that he isn't still a worthwhile guide to Asgard - he will become weak because he is going to sacrifice his own strength to keep the protection spells, etc., around Asgard going to keep Asgard safe. I don't want to confuse anyone and make people think Metatron is suddenly going to be forever useless. =3
So anyway, NPCs are powerful characters, and to ensure that they don't totally dominate or ruin all the potential plot choices you guys have, they sometimes have to step back and be a little quieter. If you ever do want the NPCs specifically involved in something, by all means, contact me!
Another explanation I thought was due was an explanation of the mod and the secretary. As you all know, I'm the mod and Mary is the secretary. I will avoid using the term co-mod from now on because it's misleading.
The mod does what mods generally do. My obligations are to keep the game running, think of plots and crazy things to keep it fun, do the tournaments, make and adjust the rules over time to better the gaming experience for everyone, reprimand people or warn them when they break rules and sometimes remind people of little things like remembering to keep your character growing from the experiences they go through, and not uncharacteristically static. I also am the one who looks over all the character applications that come into the game. Basically, I cover this and everything else that is administrative.
The secretary, in this game, is here to help the mod by helping me update information on the site, keep up the timeline of events, and keep an eye out for rule breaking. She doesn't have full mod authority to cover everything. She's a helper and I thank her immensely for the work she puts into this game. She also writes Syd to better the opportunities for interesting plots for characters/players themselves to start and also for NPC-started plots meant to slowly wrap characters up in them. I wanted to announce this so that there isn't any confusion on the distribution of tasks for anyone. =3
