Buffy hated when Giles was right. Really, really hated it. And she was sure she had some scrunched up pouty face on at his words regarding Willow. In no way did she want to potentially put her best friend in the face of dark magic again. But, still, why Ethan? "No, I don't want to endanger her," she said in a low voice, as though Giles was about to put her in time out.
And she really didn't want to be acting this immature with Ethan around. Of course, all remnants of her scolded features vanished when the guy started grinning and teasing her again. He was just loving this. Ugh. "He doesn't think so," she told Giles.
She rolled her eyes once more because this was just too much for her poor, tired brain to deal with. She slumped back onto his couch and folded her arms. It wasn't really worth the effort to argue because she had never been able to change Giles' mind, "Fine, if he kills you, don't come crying to me."
