“Doesn’t matter about the money.” Dean said vaguely, rubbing at the steamed up window to get a better view of the hotel. By the looks of the place, it was just as well that he was in the money-doesn’t-matter frame of mind. Turning back to her, he took one of her hands, playing idly with her fingers. “It really doesn’t. Buffy…I want this to be different cos I think we’re different. Does that make any sense? I don’t believe in love at first sight and all that crap but I do believe that you can know pretty much instantly if someone is special or not. And you…well, you kinda are.”
He was glad all this wasn’t being recorded. He’d cringe if had to hear some of the things he was saying. But he wasn’t too good at this and because of that, he was just saying the first things that came into his mind. Unfortunately for him, they all sounded like they were taken straight from the pages of some cheap romance novel. Still, didn’t mean he meant them any less.
