Dean nodded. “Yeah, that’s my baby. She’ll be all cold and miserable out here in the snow. She normally got put inside back at my old place but there’s no lockups round here to keep her in.” He patted the car affectionately as they passed and led the way upto the front door. “Careful of that path. It’s a bit uneven and the snow will hide the bad bits.” The last thing he wanted to do tonight was sit around the emergency room while they fixed up Buffy’s broken ankle!
“I just wanna pick up some fresh clothes for tomorrow then we can go to your place to get you some too if you want.” This too was new. In the past, Dean had just gone off with whatever girl he’d scored with. He knew he was stalling a little because he was nervous this time. But it did make sense anyway. Last night’s clothes were always horrible when you had to wear them again the next day, no matter how clean they still were.
His room was a mess of half unpacked boxes and bags and he rolled his eyes when he led her in. “I’m really not this much of a slob normally.” he explained apologetically. “It’s just…you know…new place and all…”
