“Nah, he probably didn’t and when I got there today, a date was the last thing on my mind. I was pretty freaked out by the sheer size of place and all the people running around. I kinda have the idea that this is a lot smaller than they’re trying to make it. I don’t mean the whole evil-stalking-around thing…I know how huge all that is. But this is like a business or something now. Blame my dad I guess but I’m more for the old Watcher and his Slayer and less of the whole run-it-like-a-company thing. Guess I’m just old-fashioned!”
He grinned wickedly at the idea of her taking a demon’s head off with the blade of an ice-skate. “Now that sounds like just my kind of night out! So yeah, I’d love to go watch you skate and then afterwards we can go for a long drive somewhere. Find a little out of the way bar that’s quiet and sit by the window to watch it get dark.” He paused momentarily before eh spoke again. “Maybe we could make a whole night of it…you know, find somewhere cosy to stay and come back the next morning?”
