Buffy smirked as Dean was reluctant to give the cab driver a tip. Served him right! Of course, had he not interrupted, she would have suggested forgoing the bar entirely and taking him back up to her apartment for the whole Pod to see. Part of her wanted that because she was well aware of how attractive Dean was, and if the other slayers saw him with her...well, they'd back the hell off instantly. It was nice to have seniority in that aspect.
After picking a seat in the, thankfully, non-trashy bar and waiting as Dean ordered her a drink, she smiled when he brought back a glass of water. "Hey, no complaints here," she said, putting the flowers into the water, "At least they'll stay alive during our dinner and they totally brighten up the table."
She took a sip of her drink, eyes widening when she realized it was mostly alcohol and very little anything else. Well, this night was going to get interesting rather quickly. "Whew...strong," she said, laughing slightly as she shook her head. "I'm going to warn you now, I'm a bit of a lightweight."
After a waitress came and took their food orders, she tilted her head as she looked at him, swirling the straw in her glass, "So, Dean," she said, leaning forward over the candle flickering between them, "I think it's pretty obvious I like you a lot and if we're going to do the whole get-to-know-you dance, we can't have any secrets between us," she said, biting her lip nervously. She had a lot of baggage to bring to the table, but she wanted to be completely honest with him. There was no reason she shouldn't be if she felt this strongly about him after only just meeting him.
