Ethan looked offended at that accusation. He knew this would happen. There was no trust left in their relationship, was there? Alright, so he'd nearly killed the precious Slayer (by accident - the first time, anyway), and he'd nearly gotten Giles killed by the Slayer (that was unintentional - he'd only meant to loosen him up a bit), but really, was that any reason to be so distrustful? That actually hurt his feelings. Contrary to popular belief, he did have a heart. Maybe it was three sizes too small, but still, he had one.
"It wasn't me this time, honest." Ethan sighed and scratched a spot just above his ear. "Look, you know it's not like me to repeat myself. I'm far more creative than that."
He got off the bed to retrieve the wastebasket with the hoodie in it. When he returned, he turned on the lights and held it in front of Giles. "Davan was wearing this. He was about to sock me one when I managed to wrangle it off of him. And a 'thank you' would be nice, for rescuing one of your people from someone else's nefarious schemes."
