"I knew I should've taken fencing instead of phys-ed," Beth answered as she watched Davan move with the sword. "That's got to be at least half the weight of a broadsword or a third of a claymore, but it's made to pierce, not cut," she mused. "Hold that thought." She went into the bedroom, cursing and muttering as she yanked down the cavalry sword that had belonged to Tabby's grandfather. "Here we go; Tabby gave me this one when I went home a couple weeks ago; it was her grandfather's, and it's a cavalry sword." She sat back down out of the way, still watching him with the rapier. "You know you're going to have to teach me that now, right?"
