Dean nodded enthusiastically. “Oh well yeah. That makes your Watcher officially okay. Coffee is totally what’s needed when the world is ending.” He held open the door for her and slid into the seat she chose. “I’ve heard things about your Watcher actually. He’s kind of a legend. Him and Wesley Wyndham Price…there are all sorts of stories about them and…”
He was suddenly distracted by her mention of leather pants and boots and forgot what he had been going to say. “Yeah…um…the Watchers…and tea…and hell I love leather. I hope I get a Slayer who looks good in it! I’m really not like this all the time you realize…it’s just this is all so new and I’m pretty amazed at the whole place. And I’m hungry. When I’m hungry, my brain and mouth don’t connect very well. Actually, that happens a lot even when I’m not hungry but I’m not as flaky as I must seem to you. I just want to do a good job here…make daddy proud and all that.”
His mouth watered at her mention of unhealthy food and he grinned as a waitress approached their table. “Now I gotta warn you. People have accused me of being a demon or something because of the amount I can eat. Just giving you a head-up before I start!”
