"Sounds thrilling," Elena muttered sarcastically. A building full of people and there were only four worth meeting? Well, at least that reduced the amount of socializing she would be forced to do. "No, I have not met Buffy yet. Giles seems quite fond of her, though." Their relationship reminded her of Esperanza, whom she vehemently did not want to think about, which was why she had avoided meeting Buffy thus far. Although Buffy did not immediately succeed Esperanza, it still felt like she was Esperanza's replacement, and Elena wasn't entirely comfortable with that. Why Beth didn't bother her for the same reason, well, that was simply a mystery. "Does Giles know about this strange couple you saw watching movies? Or are we just letting anyone in here now? Oh, and the man who was resurrected -- that is Wesley Wyndam-Price, yes? I knew him when I was starting out as a Watcher. He was insufferable. Hopefully he is not such a tweet anymore." She meant to say 'twit,' but sometimes Elena got her English idioms confused. It wasn't her first language or even her second, so she figured she deserved to be cut some slack if she mixed words up occasionally.
