"The dreams are throwing me more than anything else," she admitted. "I mean, I've seen demons that have tentacles coming out of places that shouldn't have them. I don't know why the dreams are freaking me out like they are, and I think THAT is what's making them the hardest thing to cope with. But anything I can do to help figure it out, I will."
She frowned at Buffy's pained reaction. "I'm sorry," Beth apologized. "That was sort of insensitive of me. I should've realized, everybody's lost someone and not everyone wants to talk about it." She kicked the toe of her shoe against the floor.
"You don't have to on my account." In fact, Beth kind of hoped Buffy didn't mention her name to Spike at all because she was sure he'd be more than thrilled to exaggerate everything that had been going on. "I'm okay with it; as long as he doesn't try to kill me again, I won't try to shove a stake in his heart. Any fights we get into are just extracurricular training as far as I'm concerned, and I imagine he's being his usual--" slimy rat bastard--"charming self with everyone else. His kind of charm just rubs me the wrong way."
